Perfect Order Market Watch: Meowth, Zygarde, And The Support Shelf

Perfect Order is not the loudest Mega Evolution set, but its Meowth, Zygarde, Supporter, and Mega ex shelf gives collectors more than one card to check.

A BinderDex market watch cover built from real Perfect Order card imagery.

Two months after release, Perfect Order is not giving collectors a clean one-card chase story. It is giving them a shelf.

At the top, Meowth ex still leads the BinderDex snapshot at $194.34, even after a $5.59 dip. Mega Zygarde ex 124/088, the Mega Hyper Rare at the end of the checklist, is sitting almost perfectly still at $168.52. Below those two, the set gets more interesting: the special illustration Zygarde, Mega Clefable ex, Rosa's Encouragement, Mega Starmie ex, and Jacinthe are clustered tightly enough that the supporting board matters almost as much as the headline.

  • Mega Zygarde ex 124/088 is nearly flat at $168.52, down $0.06, or -0.04%.
  • The special illustration Mega Zygarde ex 120/088 is lower at $82.41, down $4.13, or -4.77%.
  • Mega Clefable ex, Rosa's Encouragement, Mega Starmie ex, and Jacinthe form the support shelf between $35.97 and $75.87.
  • This is a collector market watch, not a buy, sell, or grading instruction.

Why Perfect Order still matters two months in

Perfect Order is a compact set by modern chase-card standards, but compact does not mean thin. The set has more than 120 cards, including four Mega Evolution Pokemon ex, nine Pokemon ex, 11 illustration rare Pokemon, 18 Ultra Rare Pokemon and Trainer cards, and six special illustration rare Pokemon and Supporter cards.

That structure gives collectors two different boards to watch. One is the expected top-end board: Meowth ex, Mega Zygarde ex, and the special illustration rares near the end of the checklist. The other is the playable-and-personality board: Supporter cards, Lumiose City flavor, and Pokemon that tie the set back to Pokemon Legends: Z-A.

The May 28 snapshot is mostly soft, but not broken. Meowth is down modestly. Mega Zygarde Hyper Rare is essentially flat. The special illustration Zygarde and Mega Clefable are down more sharply. Mega Starmie ex and Jacinthe are the only green names in the supplied group, but their moves are small: +1.31% and +0.98%.

That makes this a breadth check, not a hype check.

Meowth ex is the market card and the utility card

Meowth ex 121/088 is the cleanest headline because it leads on price and has a gameplay reason for being discussed outside collector circles. Launch coverage focused on Meowth ex as a card with broad deck utility because it can search out a Supporter when it enters play. That does not automatically translate into collector demand, but it does explain why the card has had more oxygen than a normal cute SIR might get.

The BinderDex snapshot has Meowth ex at $194.34, down $5.59, or -2.80%. That is still the highest number in the group. The more useful signal is that the drop did not remove it from the lead. A top card can cool and still remain the card that defines the set's market conversation.

May 28 BinderDex snapshot: $194.34, down $5.59, or -2.80%. Still the highest supplied Perfect Order card in the watch group.

The collector read is straightforward: Meowth is doing two jobs. It is the cute character card, and it is the broadly discussed play card. Perfect Order does not need both stories to last forever, but it is notable when a single card can sit in both lanes this early after release.

Zygarde splits into crown and scene

Mega Zygarde ex is the set's central Pokemon, but the market is separating the two top Zygarde versions. Mega Zygarde ex 124/088 is the Mega Hyper Rare and sits at $168.52, down only $0.06. That is a -0.04% move, which is basically flat in a daily snapshot.

May 28 BinderDex snapshot: $168.52, down $0.06, or -0.04%. The Mega Hyper Rare is behaving more like a steady top-end anchor than a fast mover.

Mega Zygarde ex 120/088 is a different read. At $82.41, it is less than half the 124/088 price, and it fell $4.13, or -4.77%, in the supplied snapshot. That does not make it weak by default. It means collectors are currently paying a clear premium for the rarity slot and finish at 124/088.

May 28 BinderDex snapshot: $82.41, down $4.13, or -4.77%. Same central Pokemon, but a much different price tier from 124/088.

That split is the main Zygarde signal. Perfect Order can be the Zygarde set in official framing while still letting Meowth lead the collector board and the Hyper Rare Zygarde carry the steadier high-end role.

The support shelf: Rosa, Jacinthe, Clefable, and Starmie

The support shelf starts around $75. Rosa's Encouragement 123/088 is at $75.47, down $0.59, or -0.78%. It is almost tied with Mega Clefable ex 119/088, which sits at $75.87 after a $4.21 slide, or -5.26%.

That pairing matters because it shows two different kinds of support. Rosa's Encouragement is a Supporter SIR with character appeal. Mega Clefable ex is a Pokemon SIR tied directly into the set's Lumiose City resident framing. They are not doing the same job in a binder, but the market has placed them on almost the same shelf.

Mega Starmie ex 118/088 is the quiet green card. It is at $71.08, up $0.92, or +1.31%. That is not a breakout move, but it is useful because it sits just below Rosa and Clefable. If Perfect Order's second tier stays healthy, Starmie is part of the reason.

Jacinthe 122/088 is lower at $35.97, up $0.35, or +0.98%. The dollar change is tiny, but the direction gives the bottom of the supplied SIR Supporter group a little resistance. In a softer snapshot, even small green moves are worth separating from noise, not overreading.

How to read this snapshot

The first temptation is to call this a red day because five of the seven supplied cards are down. The better read is more specific.

Meowth remains the lead card despite cooling. Mega Zygarde Hyper Rare is flat enough to look stable. The special illustration Zygarde and Mega Clefable are seeing more visible softness. Rosa is steady. Starmie and Jacinthe are green, but only by small amounts.

That creates a narrow, useful market picture: Perfect Order's top card is not surging, but the set is not collapsing into one card either. The upper shelf runs from roughly $71 to $194 in the supplied BinderDex data, with multiple Pokemon and Supporter cards still relevant.

Collectors should also keep the checklist structure in mind. Perfect Order is not just "the Zygarde set." It is a Lumiose City set with 124 total cards, six SIR Pokemon or Supporter cards, and a Mega Hyper Rare sitting at the very end. That makes exact card number more important than character name alone. Mega Zygarde ex 120/088 and Mega Zygarde ex 124/088 are not interchangeable market signals.

What to watch next

What to watch next
  • Meowth vs Zygarde: Compare Meowth ex 121/088 with Mega Zygarde ex 124/088. Risk: a small gap can get overread as a permanent hierarchy.
  • Two Zygarde lanes: Keep 120/088 and 124/088 separate. Risk: same-character searches can hide the difference between scene appeal and Mega Hyper Rare premium.
  • Support shelf health: Watch Rosa, Clefable, Starmie, and Jacinthe as a group. Risk: one small green line can make the second tier look stronger than it is.
  • Exact-print caveats: Match raw/NM condition, language, set, and card number before comparing. Risk: Perfect Order's compact checklist can still split into very different price lanes.

Final read

Perfect Order's May 28 board is a study in controlled cooling. Meowth ex is still the lead at $194.34. Mega Zygarde ex 124/088 is the steadier high-end Zygarde at $168.52. The SIR Zygarde and Mega Clefable are softer. Rosa's Encouragement, Mega Starmie ex, and Jacinthe keep the support shelf from looking empty.

For collectors, that is the story to watch: not whether Perfect Order has one obvious chase, but whether the set can keep enough attention across Meowth, Zygarde, and the Supporter lane to feel deeper than its compact 88-card main set.
