Two things stand out. Umbreon VMAX is worth almost twice Rayquaza VMAX and more than four times anything below it, so "Moonbreon" is a market fact as well as a nickname. Below the top two, places 3 to 8 sit within about $190 of each other, which is why the binder routes below matter more than strict rank: Leafeon at sixth and Sylveon at seventh were a dollar apart. Just outside the list, Glaceon V 175/203 displayed at $152.31 and Leafeon V 167/203 at $140.70.

The important word is optional. HYOGONOSUKE's Leafeon, kirisAki's Glaceon, and Taira Akitsu's Sylveon each use a different setting and light level, so the row changes temperature from card to card without losing the Eeveelution thread. A four-card family can be beautiful; so can a three-card page that ends cleanly. Leaving a space for a famous card is only a plan if you have decided that the space tells a story.
Route 2: the Dragon page
Evolving Skies brought Dragon-type Pokémon back to the Trading Card Game, which gives the set a second identity beyond Eeveelutions. This project earns its shape from type and mood, not from trying to assemble a substitute trophy list. Atsushi Furusawa gives Dragonite a rounded, playful presence, Anesaki Dynamic lets Rayquaza carry the dramatic scale, and Mitsuhiro Arita's Noivern supplies a sharper nocturnal silhouette. Rayquaza is allowed to be the dramatic center, but the other two keep the page from becoming one note.
Route 3: a quieter V alternate-art page
The V alternate arts are where Evolving Skies gets roomier.
